7west is decidedly different from the average new construction project because we dared to ask; Can industrial design be elegant?

In urban settings, elegance is measured differently. Industrial elegance is created by combining elements that are equally powerful, durable, simple and effective. When an industrial setting blends open architecture, an appropriate material palate and contemporary accents, the combination becomes not only elegant, but timeless.

Borrowing from the industrial history of Old Town Manchester, the project will incorporate a material and design palate with roots in Manchester’s past as a manufacturing hub. While doing so, modern elements are also readily apparent. Walls of glass, minimalist interior selections and an absence of pretense combine to blend Manchester’s industrial past with its progressive future. All of this within walking distance to the James River and downtown RVA.
