The flat is located in an apartment house built for state office employees in 1932. The main goal of this project was to change the original room setup to suit contemporary lifestyle and create simple, logic and opened space. With minor changes to disposition we gained one functional, bright and airy space for cooking, dining and living.
After uncovering the ceiling layers we gained total height of 333cm and visible original concrete construction. As it was in good shape we decided to keep as a dominant part of overall expression of the flat. The concrete ceiling also logically divides the flat in two functional parts - living space with bedroom and entrance with WC and bathroom connected together via original junction leaved in original brick expression.

With use of minimum materials we tried to keep the apartment as basic as possible, yet warm and comfy. Original oak parquet is used as opposite to the stripped ribbed concrete ceiling, epoxide floor is used in entrance and bathroom. Kitchen and furniture is made mostly of radial oak veneer to keep the expression even more geometric. Pieces of old solitaire furniture underline the clear lines of

Dark blue was chosen as the main supplementary color used on kitchen and small details such as refurbished 70’s armchair, entrance pouffe and various accessories.
