Demonstrating the brand’s custom color capabilities and contemporary cabinetry style, the Bakes & Kropp kitchen in the Galerie House of Art and Design is an upscale modernist retreat that incorporates a range of styles.

The St. Claire Blue hand-painted kitchen cabinetry was intentionally selected to be a strong pop of vibrant color in order to match the high-energy style of the rest of the house. By incorporating blue accessories throughout the kitchen, the bright cabinetry “has a friend to talk to,” according to Bob Bakes, Bakes & Kropp Head of Design and Co-Founder, meaning the color is drawn throughout the design for flow and doesn’t just stand out on its own.

The most fundamental element and focal point of the kitchen is the 174-inch island covered in two-toned walnut wood with a built-in stone base. As Bakes & Kropp’s largest island to date, the island features a seamless waterfall design, one of the most difficult designs in modern cabinetry, and an abundance of storage space.

Bakes & Kropp stylized a modern, sophisticated getaway for the contemporary home that effortlessly blends timeless and new-age aesthetics. Topped with an iconic marble slab backsplash, mid-century Thomas O’Brien lights, and signature brass hardware, the Bakes & Kropp kitchen in the Galerie House of Art and Design is made for the next big thing in kitchen design.
