THIS REFURBISHED DUPLEX PENTHOUSE IS ALL ONE NEEDS TO LIVE IN CALI, COLOMBIA
Located in Cali, Colombia this Penthouse passed through a transformation in order to adapt itself to the family dynamics of its inhabitants. The proposal was natural light, wood and integrated spaces. All areas are now fluid and connect themselves seamlessly.

The renovation happened once its owners left Bogotá to radicate themselves in “Heaven´s Branch”, Cali´s nickname. The new home had to reflect the character of its owners and at the same time adapt itself to their necessities and dynamics. This intervention took place under the architect Alberto Manrique, founder of Studio Manrique.
The distribution of the sleeping quarters was where the biggest adjustments occurred. Given that it had to incorporate a new bedroom for a future baby and a new studio. The original distribution was left in the past. The studio had to receive natural light whilst finding itself in the middle of the apartment. The kitchen was also one of the main focal points given the owners passion for cooking. The owner wanted a small kitchen nook for her family to gather and keep her company while she cooks.

This remodeling is the product of a personal design, eclectic and different from what is usually seen in Cali Homes. They conceived it from a specific concept, but added personal touches that made its image as original as it is unique, perfect for their new family life .
In order to reflect their lifestyle we had to create the proper atmosphere. They chose international furniture, among which the Paulistano chairs, the Paolo Piva coffee table and the Lab-Lum lamps stand out. Even the kitchen furniture –from the German brand Poggenpohl– reproduces that characteristic aesthetic of the Soho House residences, in which the bohemian is not synonymous with eccentricity, but with sophistication.
