Kat Bailey Interiors along with Willow Homes, redesigned a home full of personal touches after beginning construction in 2019 on a home originally designed by Barry Delosier.

After residing in Vestavia Hills for years, the homeowners' family began to grow and the need
for more space followed. They loved their neighborhood, so the decision was made to expand the

house.

“The goal was to maintain the overall mid-century style throughout the expansion process,” said
Kat Bailey, Owner and Interior Designer of Kat Bailey Interiors. While this holds true, the

creativity is the most captivating element in the home refurbishment. Inspiration from the 2018

home remodel of actress Mandy Moore comes to life in the unique tiling of the bathroom floors.

The media room bar is dedicated to displaying the bourbon collection curated by the homeowner

as well as his record collection framed around the room. A cigar balcony is connected to the

media room as well.

An all new kitchen was designed and installed with quartz countertops, custom cabinetry, hidden
pantry, cabinet hardware from a designer based in Australia. The kitchen banquette was

recreated as it is one of the families favorite features of the kitchen. Handmade tile, designed

originally for just backsplash, was taken from floor to ceiling per the suggestion of Bailey.

This mid-century inspired home was completed on the exterior with a custom iron door across
the front in addition to a cantilevered balcony and cedar plank fireplace. Designed in all shades

of white and featuring white oak floors, this home in Vestavia Hills reflects the homeowners

personality and passions flawlessly.
