Our home is on a two acre lot nestled in the beautiful Nambe Valley, just outside of Santa Fe. It was built by renowned local architect Allen McNown, and his son Mark, whose family lived here for four decades.
"Caracol" is Spanish for "snail," which is the shape of the house designed by McNown. The home is made out of adobe, lava rock, and wood from the area. It is a special home with a lot of history, and borders the Pojoaque Creek, which is a tributary for the Rio Grande 10 miles away.
