The wood decking was replaced with pavers as the original wood was rotten and this way the pavers could be flush with the swimming pool creating an even level.

A winding path and lush tropical planting was added to the garden to help create the Estate Gardens of Fred's youth instead of the existing straight pathway to the pool area.

Existing palms lined the existing path to the swimming pool but the use of the brick pavers and matching pool coping with the same material allows the space to have more of an open, airy feel.

Using the same material for the pool coping and the paths helps the garden feel more open and  contemporary garden. The original wood deck was rotten and need replacing. Living in a subtropical area one must have a certain amount of airflow under wood decking and termites are also an issues. The paving was chosen for practical as well as aesthetic reasons.

An update of the pool coping and a new fountain were added to the pool. The John Martini sculpture remains in his original spot but with a much cleaner look.

A prior project that had been neglected with overgrown spaces in dire need of updates. Fred wanted a garden that was reminiscent of his childhood having grown up with an estate garden with open views and layered tropical, winding paths, which helped to create quiet contemplative resting spots.
