Hotel Indigo Venice was awarded the 2019 Gold Key Award from Boutique Design Magazine.

The hotel is located next to the canal 'Rio Sant' Elena' within walking distance to the Castello district. The Castello district is one of the quieter areas in Venice still inhabited by locals, allowing guests to enjoy an authentic Venetian experience exploring local shops, restaurants, gardens and historic architecture of the district.

Converted from a 1930s convent, the 77-room Hotel Indigo Venice - Sant'Elena is composed of two wings joined in the centre of the property by a former chapel. The hotel boasts an interior courtyard garden and large windows with high ceilings.

The new interiors are elegant, both classic and contemporary. The furnishings are bold, sophisticated & eclectic. The inspiration behind the look and feel derives from the history and legends of Sant’Elena Island, and the travelling, discovering and trading history of Venice.

Deluxe rooms are inspired by the Venetian canals and gondolas, with deep muted blues and black wood accents. Standard rooms derive from the Byzantine era, with warm colours and touches of gold. Finally, the Garden rooms are inspired by the Mediterranean gardens of Sant'Elena. The room signage took ideas from the iconic Venice doorbell.

The hotel restaurant and bar, Savor, fuses international and local cuisine together, creating unique Venetian flavours that are available from breakfast until late.

Many suppliers and contractors for the project came from the surrounding area, with locals Siru Srl creating glass-blown lighting instalments; and Alberto Valese introducing Ebru paper marbling amongst others.
