House of Light + Water

A silent search for a hidden oasis, where the flow of a seasonal stream washes through the cervices of Fletcher Canyon and the spaces in between the canyon walls are just as important as the walls themselves, there is a stillness far removed from the chaos of the Las Vegas Strip.

This home is a process of discoveries. Light and shadows play among the forms, and an emphasis is placed on the sensual experience of place and the tactile engagement with materials.

Water is the connective tissue of the home. Shallow reflecting pools create the in-between spaces, and the sense of the canyon wall is captured in the massing and materials - fracturing into two components through the constant erosion of the seasonal stream.
