From Megan Shew

Justin and I (Megan) renovated a 100 year old yellow four-unit home we lovingly call The Lemon Drop. This particular rental unit we call Lemon Lane. We turned a drab outdated space into a technicolor dream world with a bit of construction and a lot of paint.

The living room was cold - we painted the red floors light blue to bring light in and the ceiling a deeper blue to highlight their height. We aren't modern farmhouse people, so we painted the original shiplap wall into colorful sunbeam stripes. I painted the two burst murals on a whim for fun. Justin assembled and installed the new blue cabinets and added sconce lighting in the kitchen. We subway tiled all the way to the ceiling.

We painted the two bedrooms. One deep relaxing blue to make the new yellow bed pop and in the other bedroom I stenciled leaves on an accent wall. We decided to gut out the bathroom and make a walk in shower. I had my heart set on daisy tile, but they ran out at the store so Justin made a custom daisy pattern by hand.
