Ann Arbor Hills family sought a relaxed, yet sophisticated kitchen design that respected the original 1950’s mid-century ranch aesthetic. They opted to keep the galley-style layout for its efficiency and relationship to the adjacent dining and mudroom spaces.

Durable and sustainable materials were selected to withstand a family of avid cooks. FSC certified rift-sawn, white oak custom cabinets, crafted by a local cabinet maker, are complimented with a solid surface countertop and a porcelain tile backsplash. The existing wood floors were refinished to their natural state and sealed with a durable water-based matte finish.
