In the scenic North Oaks community, the Pleasant Lake project clients sought a forever home where technology blends with decor. They envisioned a modern European estate: technologically advanced yet understated.

The home's heart is a family: a couple and their three children. They lead an active, social life with unique elements like a secret flex room behind a pivoting bookcase and a sport court with a disco ball for dance parties. For them, striking a balance between innovative technology and elegant design was essential.

Crestron's NVX, a video over IP solution, distributes video across the home to 13 distinct zones—from living areas to bedrooms and outside. Display sizes range from a 75-inch Sony in the media room to a 32-inch Samsung Frame TV in the kitchen.

Crestron's NAX system delivers audio across 22 zones. It doesn't just reduce rack interconnects; it also offers customizable doorbell chimes and integrates with three Sonos Ports for a complete audio experience.

Twelve HR310 handheld controllers and four CEN-GWEXER gateways, all connected to the Crestron CP-4 processor, manage these zones. Strategically placed in-wall TSW-770 touchscreens ensure easy control in shared spaces.

Access Networks designed the home's digital infrastructure, which includes a Sophos Firewall and two Ruckus POE switches—one for household devices and another for Crestron AV distribution. Nine Ruckus R550 indoor access points and an outdoor T610 ensure robust WiFi coverage.

The golf simulator, integrated with the home's AV systems, boasts Crestron-controlled RGB tape lighting around its ceiling, adjustable via a touchscreen.

Crestron lighting, controlled by 35 Horizon keypads, oversees 116 light fixtures, fans, and outdoor heaters. While most lighting is centralized, localized Crestron dimmers serve specific areas, like closets. Nine integrated shades, managed by the Crestron Home app and keypads, add to the home's convenience.

The Pleasant Lake project epitomizes how technology, especially Crestron's integrated solutions, can be beautifully interwoven into a home's architecture and design. The result is a residence where technology enhances comfort and convenience, but never overshadows the essence of home.
