Peak covid…early 2021…15 minute showings and 20+ offers....all contingencies waived. This beautiful young couple with 3 kids under 4 years of age and 3 dogs had purchased their first home in the prestigious neighborhood of Del Mar Heights. They had the great schools, quick access to the freeway while being in a safe suburban community but upon moving in they quickly realized that the previous owner “put lipstick on a pig” and while their home looks new and clean it did not function well. Cheap plywood doors, exposed wires, inadequate lighting and peeling stucco.

The family’s aesthetic was modern glam, white walls and warm neutrals. Every inch of this home needed some love. The project consisted of a new roof, new interior paint, all new light fixtures, creation of a new bar, fireplace wall and sitting nook. We took the existing pantry and moved it across the room to make it look more cohesive with the kitchen, this saved the family from having to spend on more cabinetry and opened up space for what is now their family photo wall.
