PS HOUSE

This Project is located at Cuenca-Ecuador, declared by UNESCO as a Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It is located at a new residential zone, surrounded by hospitals, shops and restaurants and banks.

The project was build on the owner’s original house, who decided to move to another area form the city because of the transit at this area, however they had a bound with what was their home for many years and they were delighted with the new building which had a living and a commercial purpose.

The project located on a corner, took advantage from the high traffic to develop it commercial area with two open shops with parking spots surrounded by gardens, and at the lower traffic street the entrances and private parking for the apartments were built.

The residential part, a three-story building was developed in harmony with the client’s life style, in the inside there is a common area backyard to connect the apartment at the ground floor. It is a family building with a two bedroom apartment on the first floor for the owners, a three bedroom apartment with a terrace for their daughter and a two bedroom apartment at the third floor for rent.

The building has a big terrace at the third floor for family gatherings with a BBQ and a home library
The building lobby connects the apartments by modern style stairs with vertical railings allowing natural light which enable the users walk through a warm ambience.

Among the materials that were used for the construction, andesita rock, the natural zone stone, covering some downstairs interior and exterior walls and some details inside each apartment.
