The glass walls and clerestory glazing fill the building with light, fulfilling the clients' brief to make the space feel more 'outdoors' than 'indoors'. The space opens onto a broad balcony with a suspended corner seat located at the spot that enjoys the final rays of evening sun.

A garden pavilion overlooking a loch in rural Scotland. The walls of this steel framed building slide open to allow family life to be connected to the garden by day and gathered around a log burning stove at night. Built above a stone base workshop, the elevated position affords views out over the Scottish landscape.

Winner of the Dundee Institute of Architects Supreme Award for the best new building in the region.
