A family house perched up on the banks of the Sacramento River. It is on the edge of the city, facing the river and the agricultural fields beyond. The house sits on piloti, lifted over the floodplain. Large windows face the view, and a deep balcony runs the entire length of the house. A double height public space (living and eating) is in the middle, with the private rooms and bedrooms on one side, and an attached wing on the other, which has a guest suite on the ground floor and a master suite above.
