This Cottesloe home was designed, built and landscaped by Michael Wilson of Plan Design Build. Located only metres from the iconic Cottesloe Beach in Western Australia, the home is a nod to modern and traditional Japanese architecture.

The contemporary home features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, pool, wine cellar, powder room and a whole level dedicated to the kitchen and living area. The four-bedroom home is cleverly designed to maximise living space, with bedrooms allocated to only levels two and four, allowing for more space allocation for entertaining on level three, which houses the main living and kitchen area.

The design revolves around Australia's love of the outdoors - open-planned living and views of the ocean provide a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. The design incorporates a number of Japanese inspired features, including a dark colour palette, wooden textures and a Japanese style garden, water feature and koi pool in the centre of the home.
