The Cabin

Hi! We are Delo Design – a design bureau based in Saint Petersburg, Russia. We are mostly known for product design, especially furniture, but now we are also developing our architectural department, hence is the little house we simply call The Cabin. This prefab unit has emerged out of friendship: we built it for our colleague who wanted to move away from the city, yet save the usual level of urban comfort in the new home. Since we have our own manufacture in Saint Petersburg, we assembled the unit there and equipped it with all the essentials from furniture to tableware that we've also developed on our own. Due to its simple geometry, The Cabin easily fits into any natural setting which can be enjoyed through its panoramic window. Visually enlarging the volume, the glazing also lets a massive amount of natural light in. It's modest layout of 11,2 m2 features a kitchenette, a dining zone, a wardrobe, a foldable bed combined with a storage space and a half-bath with a shower.
