Rich in texture and material the design of the living room is intended to be intimate. To offset the drama of the stunning mountain views (shown below), it was imperative to harbor a sense of warmth and coziness. The chimney finish surface was sculpted with wire mesh and masonry mix and primed/painted Benjamin Moore BLACK. Other materials shown are french white oak floors, black leather sofe from Of Iron and Oak, Thermador berage center, Tech Lighting, Omega Cabinetry, NEMO tiles.

Tucked away against some of New England's most iconic backdrops, The Chalet emboldens a deep sense of warmth and comfort just moments from the village of Stowe, Vermont. Through its richness of material, organic sensibilities, and touch of an edge, The Chalet is that dreamy romantic home we all seek to escape to.

Originally built as a weekend ski chalet in 1977, this home has recently been completely renovated. The renovation entailed drastically reshuffling walls to align with modern day living, the lofting of ceiling space that was hidden in that attic, and molding of the the chimney into a free form "adobe like" sculpture.
