We planned everything to build a modest family house, and then Covid hit us...
An Architect friend warned us about projects being put on hold, lockdowns etc... Afraid of having a construction mortgage and unplanned delays, we slammed the breaks and canceled the mortgage. We saved the original building site and decided to build a small cabin tucked away. Hopefully, one day, it will be a mortgage helper, once we get to build the family-size house. The final result is 600 sqft total, built with the help of family and friends, with a small budget, we managed to move into the unfinished house at the end of the summer.
