The Koselig Korner showcases a guesthouse that transcends conventional boundaries. The creation of this meticulously designed haven draws inspiration from a transformative road trip through Lofoten, Norway, merging the tranquility of the Pacific Northwest with Nordic allure. The remarkable tale of its inception intertwines with the resilient history of the region, as the guesthouse was built around a majestic old growth pine, a survivor of the 2020 tornado. The bedroom's custom wood-paneled headboard offers a panoramic view of this living testament to nature's endurance. Drawing from our road trip in Lofoten, the asymmetry of the architecture adds a dynamic touch, reflecting the organic and free-flowing landscapes of Norway. The living room, influenced by modern Scandinavian vibes, boasts 10 strategically placed windows, welcoming abundant natural light and creating an ethereal atmosphere. The narrative unfolds further with cleverly designed vertical wood panels in the stairwell, seamlessly dividing spaces while maintaining an open feel. Koselig Korner's commitment to design continuity is evident in the flat-paneled natural maple kitchen cabinets and beech floating shelves. The exterior wood inspiration, reminiscent of Hatvika Lodge in Lofoten, intertwines seamlessly with our Pacific Northwest roots, adding a touch of Nordic authenticity to the guesthouse. Venture outside to the private patio, a landscaped oasis by Yardzen, bathed in bistro lights, inviting residents to indulge in moments of serenity.
