The Lynn Rose is a contemporary custom home designed and built by Eldridge Company in horse country just outside of Louisville, KY.
This 2-story, 5750-square-foot walkout with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms showcases large windows to display the woodland view, allowing natural light to pervade the airy interior living spaces and open floor plan. Through the oversized Windsor entry doors, bamboo floors pick up beyond the slate entryway. The gourmet kitchen was designed for entertaining with an oversized island with seating for 6, custom Amish cabinetry, quartz countertops and an intricately designed vent hood to match the adjacent fireplace feature wall. SubZero Wolf appliances are paneled to match the minimal kitchen cabinet design. Custom walk-in pantry off the kitchen features a coffee and smoothie station, as well as storage for any cook including vegetable and fruit drawers. High-end contemporary LED lighting accent the first floor neutral decor. A home office with built in desks and storage is located off the dining room. The double-height great room features a custom steel stairwell with richly colored elm stair treads sourced in Louisville.
Bamboo floors continue up through the second-floor loft space that overlooks the great room, which residents can use as another living space, office or study space. Upstairs, children or guests can spread out among three generously sized bedrooms. Once it’s time to retire for the night, residents can enjoy a serene retreat in the owner’s wing, with vaulted ceilings in the bedroom. The bath and dressing room for two includes a hair styling station and washer dryer. An exit to the deck allows early-risers to quietly step outside to breathe in the morning air, perhaps with coffee in hand. Trex decking is laid in a chevron pattern and enclosed with hand-welded custom metal rails.
In the lower walkout, the entertainment zone is complete with living space, full kitchen with bar top fabricated by Kentucky artisans, and home gym with golf simulator. A mother-in-law suite is hidden behind a bookcase door for your visitors’ comfort. Double doors lead to yet another outdoor entertaining space and the secluded wooded view.
I have included the professional photographs recently taken of the interior. Please note that interior photos were taken of a vacant house and virtually staged. The exterior will be professionally photographed May 2021.
