The Orchid

Our cabin is a unique, tree level, 3 story hand crafted “tiny” cabin in the middle of the cloud forest with great attention to detail and remarkable views of the forested mountains. We offer this as a vacation rental and for airbnb stays. Guests enjoy the well appointed and comfort driven interior and our incredible, private location. You will here the morning songs of birds and crickets and the soft rush of the River.

The ground floor has an well appointed open air kitchen with a dining table, surrounded by lovely gardens. Here also is the enclosed shower and the first of two toilets. Folks enjoy our hand made adult "swings" and in the evening sit around the fire pit and sip some wine.

The second story holds the bedroom with high end mattress, beautiful organic linens and a charming half bath. The large windows open wide to bring in the views and mountain breezes.

On the 3rd story is the kitchenette and lounge area. There is a kettle/coffee maker.
Relax on the 3rd story balcony and take in the breathtaking views. You can sip some excellent local coffee and watch the birds flitting in the trees at eye level.

Our property is at the end of the road, surrounded by miles of forest inside the 1700 bn bn be bn bn sq Kil UNESCO Protected Biosphere. There just aren’t many places like this left in the world and a rarity even in Mindo, known for its variety of bird species, butterflies, orchids, chocolate and waterfalls!

Our water source is an abundant spring borne on the property and the best water you have ever tasted. You will shower in it as well.

Enjoy our fantastic private trails from easy to challenging with astounding views of the mountains. Encounter a few of our stunning waterfalls, many tropical birds, guest often see monkeys. If you are a photography buff, you will be in heaven.
