The Slate House

Stepping outside of the box, Hygge Design+Build decided to use a natural slate product for cladding the exterior of their latest new build. Slate has many appealing qualities such as little to no maintenance, lifelong longevity (no need to ever replace), no off-gassing, and is overall very affordable. Inside a cube-like structure anchors the main living area and houses a walk-in scullery. Natural light floods the entire home which showcases white oak flooring and accents throughout. The primary shower features an earthy-colored brick that plays off of the natural materials that were used for this project.
