Loft style mixed with classics interiors. Luxurious 80 square meter apartment in the heart of Warsaw

An unusual, 80 square meter apartment located in the restored old Warsaw Brewery premises is a
perfect example of how to effectively combine the old with the new. Loft claw, warming wood,

details that add coziness and a big nod to the classics this is what this project is all about.

Agnieszka Balicka, the principal interior designer from Balicka Design interior design studio

decided to reflect the atmosphere of the surrounding area when designing interiors for her clients.

Walnut wood as the main theme of the concept

The leitmotif of the concept turned out to be walnut - the color of the window joinery. However, so that the whole thing does not turn out too boring or dark, investors also opted for a lighter color of wood - slightly bleached oak that is visible on the floor, which attracts attention not only with the color but also with the pattern. The herringbone is a tribute to the classics. Similarly, like stucco on the wall in the living
room or in the bedroom. These elements perfectly break the dominant loft style of the apartment. - Industrial themes in too large quantities may be too strong in reception, that's why we focused on softening accessories for the sake of balance - adds Agnieszka Balicka.

The secret is in the details

The apartment at the Warsaw Brewery is dominated by a modern atmosphere. However, in reference to the old-new neighborhood, there are elements from the past in a refreshed version. It is worth paying attention to the old, yet stylish armchairs in the living room. They have been renovated. The woodwork has changed its color to walnut (referring to the main theme derived from the windows) and a new upholstery appeared. Another eye-catching detail are tiles on the wall that imitate stone. This, in turn, is a tribute to natural, classic materials that are always going to be fashionable. The same theme can be found in the kitchen. The kitchen top was made of laminate, which is characterized by small bumps resembling a stone structure. The table-top refers to the tiles in the bathroom, which also have an interesting structure. The wooden kitchen fronts, in turn, consistently reflect the color of the window joinery.

Attention in the living room is also attracted by lighting - a beautiful pendant lamp is Petite Friture. One cannot also pass indifferently by the metal console made to measure, which is located right after entering the apartment. It is very functional not only because of its surface on which you can put keys or a purse, but also because of a cleverly hidden telecommunications switchboard. The door, behind which there are plugs and cables, are covered with a frame with graphics. Opposite the console is a fairly narrow corridor. There are mirrors along its entire length which optically enlarge the space and expand the entrance to the living room.
