The Wood Residence and Office

The Wood residence and office is set on a beautiful 7 acre wooded lot with two creeks, just 25 min. from downtown Cincinnati. The original home was designed and built in 1979 in the contemporary shed style with a monochromatic brown stained cedar exterior and volumetric interior spaces. The goal of the renovation and addition was to increase from 3 bedrooms to 5, renovate the master suite, open up the main living, dining and kitchen area, and increase the garage space for 3 cars. The hillside setting and limited site access drove much of the planning. Stylistically, the addition needed to pay tribute the existing shed style, while adding more modern materials and styling.
