Restoration and renovation of 2 residential buildings by famous Finnish modernist architect Aarne Ervi, completed in 1957 . Kitchen, bathrooms and surface materials etc. were all carefully renovated and the original designs were restored. The original lighting fixtures by Paavo Tynell, Lisa Johansson-Pape, Tapio Wirkkala etc. were restored and the original furniture was reupholstered. New furniture and vintage lamps were chosen to fit the era and atmosphere.
In the new additions of the ensemble by OOPEAA, in Sauna-building and Writer's chamber the look is congruent with light-colored wood used in all surfaces and both fixed and loose furniture.
The fire-places in both buildings are custom made as well as wooden outdoor furniture in the terrace of the sauna.
