A vintage 1971 Airstream pulled from a field in the PNW turned into a modern cozy sanctuary. This 188 sq ft hardly feels tiny with the open studio main living area but it’s the bathroom that is the main focal point. This large 10x8 bath includes a full sized soaker hand hammered copper bathtub, a teakwood flooring and a moody dark Oxford Navy matte paint from Annie’s paint. There is no shortage on hot water either, a tankless on demand hot water heater made a perfect modern update to this iconic shell. A cubic mini wood burning stove that’s as tiny as this dwelling will not only charm you as you enter but will warm you after a day in the outdoors. A full sized kitchen with a farmhouse sink, copper faucet and custom black walnut butcher block countertops near the cozy nook for a bed is a great way to end the day. This was a 100% DIY, a literal strip down to the frame, completely exposed and vulnerable, and rebuilt to something that I’m proud of and want to share with your community to inspire anyone thinking about a raw renovation. It’s possible and it’s worth it!!
