Wright Home

This home was a labor of love for our first wedding client, turned friend, turned interior design client. We started working together on the floor plan to create a great flow for entertaining and comfortable living. Our client is also the builder so we had great collaboration on architectural elements like round corners on the wall edges in the dining room, entry and living room that give a softness to a starkly contrasted home. Our goal was a modern home with a cozy feel at an affordably furnished price point. All cabinetry and built-in elements were custom-designed for this home. Classic Finishes created beautiful faux plaster walls, fireplace, and hood to give an element of texture and warmth. We leaned heavily on Restoration Hardware and CB2 furniture to give a trend-forward look in our furnishings. We imported custom light fixtures to achieve the desired scale with the height of the ceilings in this custom home. There were also items we weren't able to find in the necessary budget, like the Pottery Barn nightstands we had painted black and the Urban Outfitters faux mohair scarves we used as dining room throw blankets. Every inch of this Southern Indiana home was carefully tended to in order to achieve our ultimate goal of creating a welcoming home for a very deserving couple.
