Since the 1990s, the Freycinet Lodge on the eastern coast of Tasmania has been welcoming guests from around the world to experience its secluded accommodations. Originally a cluster of 60 cabins set into the lush hills in Freycinet National Park, the Lodge has since expanded with nine new pavilions designed by local architecture firm Liminal Studio.

Seamlessly blended with the environment, each undulating guesthouse includes a sleek living area, a king-size bed, an outdoor bathtub, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, as well as a large deck.

Curvy, double-glazed, floor-to-ceiling windows frame captivating views of the surrounding wilderness while illuminating the wood-and-glass pavilion and allowing in fresh air.

Providing an elegant yet grounded experience, the eco-friendly Coastal Pavilions are also proudly Tasmanian, with every inch of the structures having been locally sourced—from their designers to their ingredients. A series of artwork was even commissioned from Tasmanian artists to complement the bespoke interiors of each retreat.
