Natalie and Caleb Ebel believe adding color to your life should be made easy.

When the husband-and-wife team couldn’t find a thoughtful way to paint their home, they created a "new way to paint" with their direct-to-consumer paint and wall coverings brand Backdrop. And when they launched in 2018, they had our number, with contemporary colors and a contemporary design attitude.

We know color sparks emotion. The "right" shade for a space is the one that inspires and feels right to you. It’s self-reflective and self-expressive. It’s all right there in the name: Color is the backdrop to our lives. To celebrate the emotional and affirming power of color, Backdrop is teaming up with another color enthusiast—Porsche—for a unique collaboration to celebrate design and the sports car company’s fabled, vibrant 75-year history. Color has long been an animating force in many of its designs: Yachting Blue was launched on the first Panamera, while the 911 GT3 RS was launched in 2015 in Lava Orange. The limited-edition Backdrop release features four of those iconic Porsche colors—Irish Green, Speed Yellow, Ruby Star, and Riviera Blue—and introduces the fan-favorite hues to a new type of space.

With the Backdrop x Porsche capsule collection, anyone can transform an ordinary wall in their home or garage into a moment full of personality—and make the world a more colorful place.

First seen in 1964 on a 356C sports car, Irish Green is also one of the first colors to ever grace the Porsche 911. It’s as timeless as the sports car itself.

If ever a color demanded to be on a Porsche, this is the one. Not for the shy or Sunday driver, it first appeared on a 911 in 1991 but looks just as vibrant on this 718 Boxster S.

Bold, joyous, and unignorable, Ruby Star is just like the 911, 928, and 944 models it has enlivened since it first caught the public’s eye in 1991. It makes this Taycan even more electrifying.

This color was developed in 1994 and seen on the 911, 928, and 968 models. It’s bright, head-turning, and audacious, shown here on a 918 Spyder.
