The outdoor shower situated off of the master bedroom is enclosed to offer privacy and features a courtyard garden. Michael Arp of Lanoha Nurseries designed the house's landscaping.

The client can enjoy the outdoors day or night via the screened porch and deck.

This large screened porch is a favorite destination of the homeowner. "She spends a lot of time on the screened porch because it straddles the meadow and the mountains," said Wiedemann. "And it's directly accessible from the living area and the kitchen."

HardiPlank lap siding wraps around the exterior of the home, while a combination of mahogany and cement-board rainscreens provide contrast.

Outdoor decks extend the small interior spaces to the exterior such that the house feels and lives twice as large.

Exterior - and fire-resistant - materials include cement board siding, bronze metal inverted Corten standing seams, and Hardiboard siding.
