Beirut-born and Paris-based Hala Wardé, of HW Architects has been named as the designer for BeMA, the new Beirut Museum of Art, chosen from a short list of 13 proposals. "I am delighted and honored to realize my first major project in the city of Beirut, where I was born, on such an exceptional site," the architect said in a statement. The museum is expected to open in 2020.
