Upon entering this renovated apartment, you find yourself in a new world. Not only was the style modernized, but also fundamental mechanical elements, such as thermal insulation was upgraded as well.
In its former state, the kitchen had no natural lighting or ventilation so this was the first room to be addressed and be given life. This was easily done by removing the surrounding walls and placing a large skylight in the center of the space, in order to obtain light and visual contact with the living room. The wooden partition between the kitchen and the living area controls how these two spaces interact, while the same floor tile is used throughout for visual continuity. The fireplace provides all spaces with comfortable warmth through channels, while appropriate furniture choices give a rejuvenating touch to this new space.
