A husband and wife who favor modern design, art, and entertaining had a clear vision for their dream home. All they needed was a place to build it. After a long search, they found the perfect location. There was one problem, though: on the land sat a dilapidated, vacant house that was bogged down in a multi-year foreclosure. Patience, and diligence, and a little help from the wife's experience as a real estate attorney eventually paid off. After clearing the decaying home from the land, the homeowners enlisted the help of a local builder and his designer wife to create their vision.

What resulted is a modern design, with a hint of the beach and a touch of tradition, all intended to ease the clean lines of the home into the surrounding mature golf course community. The focal point of the home is the outdoor living/entertaining space, with an infinity edge pool, outdoor kitchen, lanai, and a putting green. The home was designed as a U-shape, with all rooms facing the outdoor area and its golf course view.

Completed in 2019, the 2-story home is concrete block construction. The foyer serves as the bridge between two wings. To the left is the living space which includes a glass-enclosed wine cellar, kitchen, dining area, and great room with sliding glass doors that open to the lanai. To the right is the master suite, laundry, and the husband's home office. The upstairs was designed to host the couple's friends and extended family, with three guest suites, a media room, and reading loft. The home gym completes the approximately 6,700 square foot structure.

In this home, it's all about the view. And the art. And the wine.
