My clients bought a small, quaint but run down cottage on a sizeable lot just off Dry Creek Road and surrounded by vineyards. Our task was to do a modest expansion and partial interior renovation to suit a busy young family from San Francisco who wanted a place to unwind in the wine country.

The cottage was lacking any connection to the outdoors and so the main addition was for a house long screened-in porch that allowed protected enjoyment of the property and views of the valley. A master suite was added by converting the garage. In turn a pergola was designed to protect the car and provide a nice transition to the home.
