Open and Airy Whole-Home Remodel

Our recently completed whole-home project included a complete interior and exterior renovation of a single-family home in The Plaza neighborhood of Long Beach, California. The family includes husband and wife parents of 3 children, 2 of whom are toddler age and recently adopted. The goal was to create an airy, open floor plan with indoor-outdoor living and entertaining spaces that would facilitate more family time together. To achieve this, we removed the dividing walls in the common areas of the home, between kitchen, dining, and living areas, and re-configured these spaces to create a flow to the outdoors. A small addition for a new en-suite bath off the master bedroom was also created. For the interior design, we used a minimalist aesthetic, complemented by a neutral color palette and earthy, organic materials. The result is an open, serene, calming space that naturally ties together indoor and outdoor elements.
