We built this little modern off grid cabin on our 125 acre piece of property that backs up to Pisgah National Forest as our weekend getaway from our house in Downtown Asheville. It was built in 5 days. No insulation, no running water, no electric wiring. This house hangs off the side of the mountain with amazing views. The water collection system from the roof is what feeds the outdoor shower that is heated with propane. The outhouse has a vintage glass office door which allows an amazing view. The glass garage door opens and we have a garage door screen door that keeps the bugs out while the door is open. We have goal zero solar panels that run the solar generator that powers the house. We built the headboard and the kitchen countertops out of a tree that we had to cut down years ago.
