From Jim Burton Architects

This is a remodel and second story addition to a house in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. The client was a developer/builder who integrates modern design and sustainability into all of his projects, and who built this as a spec project. The house takes advantage of panoramic views to the east, and references the context of mid-century homes in the neighborhood in its design. Features include a 700 sq. ft. roof terrace, in-floor Radiant Heat, a photo-voltaic array, Henrybuilt cabinetry, Energy Star appliances, hi-velocity air purifier.

The project is Built Green certified. It was chosen as the AIA Home of the Month for November 2011.
