In the heart of the Jewelry District in Downtown Providence, a small unused and unkept space was transformed into a simple modern garden designed for outdoor living. The garden is unified by custom concrete paving/pea gravel ground plane that also integrates a small heated parking space.
The space is framed by a combination of a cedar fence, concrete bench and back rest, a custom automatic security entry gate, as well as European Hornbeams providing a lush and tall thin green wall. The garden is anchored by a precast gas firepit and a specimen Acer griseum provides a living sculptural element.
