In the dinette, we introduced a sleek granite surround fireplace that exudes contemporary elegance.

The original one-sided wood-burning fireplace felt like a relic of the past, so we transformed it into a modern two-sided gas fireplace.

A sitting room sat idly off the living room, no longer serving its purpose. Quartersawn decided to orchestrate a shift of epic proportions, relocating the powder room from the back of the house to the old sitting room.

The homeowners cherished their original floor plan’s ability to dine within the kitchen’s heart. When we redesigned the kitchen layout, we kept this area at the forefront of our minds.

The entire main floor received a modern makeover. The exquisite craftsmanship of the cabinetry detail leaves a lasting impression.

The homeowners yearned for a dedicated space that separated the hustle and bustle of their kitchen and backyard from the tranquility of their home’s interior. We took on the challenge by creating a separate entryway between the kitchen and dinette, thus crafting a dedicated mudroom.

Come inside this 1924 Spanish Colonial home we renovated in Mac-Grove, St. Paul. In 2005, a two-story addition was added to the rear of the home which created a lot of one-way traffic. The homeowners reached out to Quartersawn to better unify the space and improve the flow throughout the main level of their home. Quartersawn moved the powder room to the front of the house to create an open mudroom and add flow from the living room to the back of the house. The original one-sided wood-burning fireplace was altered to accommodate a modern two-sided gas fireplace. Quartersawn turned the informal dining room into a dinette to expand the kitchen and add a large butcher block island. The new kitchen features modern walnut cabinets, a large island, and wall-to-wall windows.
