The loose gravel on the ground makes you forget it is the roof slab of a residential building in one of the southern neighborhoods of Mexico City. The vegetation becomes almost an extension of the treetops beyond. In this rooftop terrace, we sought that same natural expression for the wood and the stone.

A steel and stone platform evenly distributes the weight of the terrace and serves as a base for the slender paired columns. Attached to them, a horizontal structure of laminated oak wood supports a last layer of glass as protection from the rain.

A 6 meter-long steel credenza is the buffet accessory, while the table, chairs, armchairs, sofas; suggest how the space ought to be used.

Within a wooden frame devoid of a cover, a hemispherical bowl of weathered steel summons guests to gather around the fire.

The whole ambiance is relaxed, and by dusk, the lighting delivers a cozy atmosphere.
