The Mayfield Kitchen

This is an East L.A. residence built in 1923 - it has been renovated bit by bit over the years, but the kitchen was last renovated sometime in the 1940’s. My clients wanted more light, more workable space with an updated kitchen design that would still be cohesive with the rest of the style of the house.

My contractor and I gutted the kitchen, opened up a few walls to incorporate a peninsula with bar seating, new cabinets, floors, countertops, hardware, backsplash, and a more open space to make the kitchen and connected dining room feel bigger with a more welcoming and updated mid-century modern style kitchen.
