The Dining/ Kitchen Area Serving as the client’s personal hunting getaway and farm, this project demanded all the serenity of a peaceful natural retreat, combined with the rustic influence of the surrounding outdoors. Exposed beams and coordinating natural wood accents, including a gorgeous live edge walnut dining table, bring an authentic cabin feel to life throughout. Texture abounds, with details like deep blue distressed leather bar stools, a brick kitchen backsplash, cognac swivel lounge chairs, and weathered cabinetry adding boldness and visual interest.

Texture abounds, with details like deep blue distressed leather bar stools, a brick kitchen backsplash, cognac swivel lounge chairs, and weathered cabinetry adding boldness and visual interest.
The Kitchen The home’s cabin-inspired feel carries into the kitchen with a blend of classic elements and modern features. The kitchen cabinets are made with century-old barn wood and feature corrugated tin insets. A hammered copper sink rests below a window framed in weathered barn wood, overlooking gorgeous views of landscape that lies just beyond. Stainless steel appliances and a butcher block island made of reclaimed barn wood complete the authentic feel of the space.

The Bar A wet bar –complete with custom designed steel shelves, concrete countertop with a rugged live edge detail, and one of the client’s most prized hunting trophies – awaits nature-lovers after long days spent outdoors.

The Master Textured jute grass cloth walls create a sense of warmth and comfort in the master bedroom. The extra tall upholstered headboard is trimmed in weathered oak. The bed, along with other furniture throughout the home, was custom ordered through KDR Showroom in St. Louis. Accents like an aged wooden mirror frame, ikat embroidered roman shades, and a beautiful patterned rug create the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing night in.

When personal passion meets design, incredible things happen. The R Farm was that kind of project for Meagan Cooperman of ADJ Interiors. From the robust nature-inspired design to the phenomenal views, we had a lot of fun incorporating the client’s love of all things outdoors into this gorgeous cabin. In addition, much of the woodwork throughout the space was custom made by Reclaim Renew, a company that uses local materials to make one-of-a-kinds. This chic space is the perfect take on modern country living with cabin vibes juxtaposing bold colors and rich textures.
