From Andrea Bosio

For this new house, criteria of sobriety and lightness were used in the articulation of the floors and in the composition of the volume. The building is spread over two levels, adhering to the pre-existing bands, so as to also leave a significant free space that confirms the built / garden relationship that characterizes the surroundings in its best episodes, in particular compared to the villa located to the west (Villa Bianchina ) of which it constitutes a sort of depandance.

The roof is flat and finished with a layer of hanging greenery, not for mimicry but for enhancing the secluded, sober, curious and courteous character of the building.
The finish of the facades is in white plaster while among the materials used for the external elements we find an alternation of stone, grass and wood. These ingredients interact harmoniously with each other: for the external paths we opted for the Luserna stone, also used for the treads of the cantilevered ramps and the wood, which continues to cover as a cut in the green.

The internal flooring is made of heat-treated wood, oak essence. The union between the materials is clearly highlighted in the cantilevered staircase, where the first three rises of the ground floor interact with the corten sheet. Also on the ground floor a small sauna has been created to serve the completely underground wellness area.
Verticality and horizontality are appropriately emphasized with cuts of light and full-height furnishing elements.

The east and south front is marked by a large corner window in order to show a unitary development and a perceptive and functional continuity. These walls are the ones that feed the house with sun, light and air.

The study of lighting involved both the internal and external spaces.
Through lighting solutions, the facades and paths define the night environment that surrounds the building and enhance the details with a meticulous direction of light.

The finishing elements are extremely light to avoid their invasiveness as much as possible.
For this reason the corten iron parapets alternate with extreme linearity with the glass plates.

The transparency of the façade, also confirmed on the ground floor, marks a strong integration between inside and outside.

The west elevation is marked by the entrance to the house, and is looked after by a pergola.
