This 1959 Mobile Home was built by Midwest Quality Homes in Carlisle Indiana. It is currently located just outside Canon City, CO in a small private 5 unit mobile home park. This mobile home was painted white with the porch enclosed, the original style almost gone. The interior had water and pet damage to the original woodwork. The vintage mobile home was restored with the help of a small crew, several contractors and even help from a collector of vintage mobile home literature.

There was water damage to several wall panel sections under the living room windows. Creativity was needed since 1/4" thick grooved cherry paneling is not available anywhere. Panels from the back of closets were removed and reused in the living room damaged areas. New paneling, shellacked to match, was used in the closets. The same method was used to repair the old ceiling tiles that are no longer available in the exact same pattern. All the built in cabinets and wall panels were restored and a salvaged small cabinet was made to match between the stove and refrigerator.

The local vintage camper restoration expert provided a contact who is a collector of vintage camper and mobile home literature and ordered several CDs of ads and brochures for all the mobile homes in the park. These ads provided exact paint schemes and a guide for interior finishes. The pink tub, sinks and toilet were saved to keep the vintage look. Commercial tile and carpet was used not only for durability but also the modern look. All the jalousie windows where repaired and restored with screens.

On the exterior, the walls enclosing the patio were removed along with some tile. The original railing was found in a shed and put back in place. All the chain link fence was removed surrounding the front of the property and a reclaimed wood fence was added.

This property is currently available through major vacation rental platforms along with other restored units in The Rosedale Vintage Mobile Home Park.
