From Jenny Pippin

White Rock was a creative collaboration between building designer Jenny Pippin of Pippin Home Designs, an artistically talented builder, and an interior decorator homeowner.

A unique home with a California wine country feel that maintained symmetry inside and out, designed for entertaining in style while maximizing the gorgeous lake views, were the homeowner's greatest desires.

Upon entry through the dramatic glass and black metal frame front door, clear sweeping views take your breath away, as your eye is drawn through the wide open and airy main level, past a wall of glass sliders, and beyond the infinity pool to the beauty of the lake.

Glass rails around the multileveled lakeside outdoor entertaining areas maintain pristine views from nearly every space within and outside of the home.

A modern Napa Valley meets Lake Norman luxury home was achieved with a Restoration Hardware look; black windows with an exterior of white brick and limestone, metal roof accents with architectural shingles, and an interior of weathered greys, deep blues, and rustic wood for a lakeside driftwood feel.

Symmetry was maintained throughout the design with a rectangular pool that fit like a jigsaw puzzle within a rectangular opening centrally positioned equidistant from both side exterior walls and as close to the 50’ lake buffer as possible.

The steep slope of the lot was managed creatively with terraces that doubled as resort-like multileveled outdoor entertaining spaces. Two sets of stairs unified these spaces centered around the pool, all with pristine lake views.

Perhaps the greatest outcome of this project was the deep bond created between the collaborating team members. Three talented artists came together, having never worked together as a trio. The result was a stunning one-of-a-kind beauty that relays the love infused into every aspect, including the friendship that was built during its construction.
