This is a slightly different vacation rental than you’ll find in other parts of coastal Maine. We’re an architect and a felt company founder who love the north Atlantic coast and contemporary Nordic design. Built by Horace H. Bracy in 1890, the house underwent an extensive renovation to accommodate a contemporary aesthetic with a Scandinavian spin. Located on two wooded acres near the Atlantic Ocean, this vacation rental has two two-bedroom, two-bath units that are interconnected and designed to be oh-so-easy to settle into.
The Bracy House is close to the Southern Maine beaches, Portsmouth and Portland with their quaint shops and kick-ass culinary scenes, hiking and outdoor activities, or just cozy up in this house filled with furniture and objects from the owner’s favorite designers. Grab a book from the library that includes biographies of Kim Gordon and Yayoi Kusama (rock stars and artists don't live dull lives) along with cookbooks from Dan Barber and Magnus Nilsson should the culinary mood strike. And because you're in Maine, the house is stocked up on local finds including Tandem coffee from Portland, Portsmouth's White Heron tea, books that feature Maine makers and authors, plus cookbooks from The Lost Kitchen and Salt Water Farm.
Come stay at The Bracy House and get your relax on.
