Hot Dog! Now You Can Spend a Night in the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile
Hot dog heaven is closer than we thought—it's in a Chicago parking lot.
Since 1936 the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile has rolled down America's highways like a space-age hot dog submarine on wheels, bringing joy to frank fans across the States. And, if we're honest, we've all muttered to ourselves, "I wish I could sleep in one." Yesterday, in celebration of national hot dog day, that passing thought became reality: The 27-footer is now available for rent on Airbnb for a dog-gone good time.

The modded Wienermobile, cleverly situated in Chicago's Fulton District (where the meatpacking industry once reigned), grants guests a bevy of amenities that put ballparks to shame. There's a mini fridge stuffed with Oscar Mayer cookout essentials, an astro turf front yard for kickin' back and throwin' down dogs, a custom art piece from area artist Laura Kiro, and a mysterious hot dog-inspired welcome bundle that might include, say, a branded hat. Best of all, guests can take home an Oscar Mayer roller grill upon which they'll be heatin' the meat.
The rental has a mobile home-like outdoor zone with astro turf, lounge seating, and an Oscar Mayer–brand grill for a pure Americana experience.

The rental, hosted by "Hotdoggers" AlexanDog and Jake N' Bacon, is just one of a fleet of six Wienermobiles Oscar Mayer first rolled out in 1936 to spread the brand's cheery take on an American classic. Each year, the company selects 12 brand ambassadors to roam the roadways in the ketchup- and mustard-colored vehicles. This pop-up—at long last— grants dog lovers the opportunity to finally sleep inside a mega bun.

The rental can only fit two and it's limited to a single night per reservation, but it comes with a seemingly endless supply of hot dogs. Unfortunately, the listing isn't pet friendly, so you'll have to leave your actual dogs at home. Mark your calendars: A stay at the dog-on-wheels is $136 a night, and bookings open July 24th on Airbnb.
