When Daisy and Kenta moved into their home, the rooms were very closed off from each other. They worked with Seattle firm Plum Projects to turn their 1990s-era home in Mercer Island, Washington, into a house with a more open floor plan and a minimal Japanese-inspired design. Removing unnecessary doors and opening up other areas of the home to the dining room adds brightness, feels more extensive, and allows for better transitions between rooms.
